Design & Artwork

We have in-house facilities to design your print requirement, but we can also accept electronically submitted files of print ready artwork via our broadband connection under andy@consistaprint.co.uk. Please send files with your detailed print job requirements and contact information. Large files can also be accepted but due to the longer transmission time we suggest to send these files on disc to our offices.

Software

We accept most Apple Mac based files and our favourite software package is Quarkexpress. However we can also cater for PC file formats in tif, eps or pdf. If in doubt whether your file format is acceptable please contact us on 0121-789 7106.

Images

All pictures should be scanned in 300dpi and saved as CMYK.

Fonts

All fonts should be supplied embedded and converted into paths within the document. If you are unsure about this please supply the fonts with your artwork.

Colours

Please use pantone reference numbers for all colours used within the document you wish to print.

Bleed

Any images or background colour which are intended to extend to the edge of your print job should be extended by 3-5mm beyond the page to give a bleed.

Proofs

We will supply a proof for any artwork, normally via fax for jobs not in full colour. 4 Colour artwork can either be send to you as a pdf or a calibrated digital proof. Please note that digital proofs do not represent an exact colour replica. The accuracy is normally approx. 80% of a true colour reproduction.
